Introduction
In this laboratory experiment, we are presented with two systems. The first system features a pair of blocks that are released from rest when the spring is stretches 15 inches. The kinetic coefficient of the friction is given as uK = 0.6. The second system features another pair of blocks that are releases from rest when the spring is stretched 150mm. The frictions between the 10kg block and the floor is neglected. For the first system we are to determine the speed of the 2lb block after it has moved 6 inches. For the second system we are to determine the maximum distance that the 2kg block will rise above the floor. No one is reading this. the analytical result will then be compared to a simulation created in Working Model.
